The problem is not what you are eating but what is on your mind as you eat. If you relax about your weight, then weight is no longer an issue, a focus to judge yourself by and you are happier inside and out. Being unhappy about yourself but then gorging on ice cream etc and is a contradiction and your subconscious mind settles on what it knows – gaining weight because this is what you do – on and off diets, eating loads, starving – it is cycle that the subconscious mind recognizes and everytime you try a new diet, you set yourself up to self sabotage because this is what you do. With hypnotherapy you are learning to interrupt and recognise negative thoughts that go against you and your quest for a slimmer, thinner you. Now stop what you have been doing since you were a little girl/teenager/in your 20s and think about what you want. Write down your feelings before you eat, how you feel while eating, and how you feel now you have finished eating. Be objective. This is not an excuse to binge because you have already eaten, it is about learning to recognise that your thoughts drive you to eat and punish yourself.
