To finally stop battling with dieting and weight loss, you have to tackle the emotional reasons for using food to change your state of mind. How many times have you found yourself eating and not realised you had even reached for the bar of chocolate, biscuits, crisps or whatever your temptation is. This is because you eat at a subconscious level – you, in fact, hypnotised yourself while eating! You zoned out. So it makes sense that the subconscious mind has to be involved in changing your ways so that you can make better food choices (and not feel deprived) and that you can motivate yourself to start and/or increase your exercise. The only way to access your subconscious and essentially reprogramme it is using hypnotherapy and NLP (neuro linguistic programming). As you look back at past events where food was your only comfort, you learn to remove the emotion attached to the past so that you no longer trigger these same feelings when a similar situation occurs. This is a learned behaviour and because you learned it, you can unlearn it and act differently. It is taking back control of your emotions so that you stop hurting yourself and when the peacefulness is inside your mind and body, then there is a peacefulness to your outside self.
