			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you seen someone and thought “I wish I had their confidence”?  If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be confident then you can learn ways to be a confident version of yourself.  It is not about being someone obnoxious.  It is about an improved version of yourself that is calmly confident.  It is about you being able to feel at ease within yourself whether your boss is speaking to you or whether you have to give a presentation.  When you feel anxious and lacking self assurance you may feel this distress within you, your stomach may be churning, your mind goes blank, you may feel that you are sweating excessively.  These physiological symptoms can be interrupted.  With the power of your own mind you can stop and reverse the feeling and you know, when one step is interrupted, the sequence is broken and therefore no longer happens. </p>
<p>The “what if” sensation can be replaced with a more positive mantra.  What if it does happen, you can handle it.  Once you take away the fear, you have control.  You do the negative thinking so well, think about how great you would be at thinking positively and hypnosis and NLP can give you the skills that you need to do this.  What could you achieve professionally if you were the confident, at ease self you would wish to be with the conscientious part of you in proportion to the task at hand.  If it not about eradicating your cautious side but to get it to act appropriately.   When you feel confident, what goes on inside your body, inside your mind?  It is this focus within yourself with hypnosis and NLP that will make lasting change.  You are learning to think about what you want for yourself rather than what you don’t want.  With any change, it is important to have a signal to yourself that this has happened.  How would you know that you were becoming confident?   These are the areas that are addressed in a hypnosis and nlp session.  We cannot change the past but we can change the emotional connection.  If the record inside your head is telling you that you will amount to nothing – change it, if the voice is loud and screaming – tell to shut up.  We all have an internal representation of what is going on whether it is a feeling, a noise, a pain that stops you being confident.  We can change what is going on inside you.</p>

<h2><strong>The top five reasons to give up smoking are:</strong></h2>
<ol>
<li> Health – are you  already suffering the ill effects of smoking? Perhaps members of yo ur family are affected by second hand smoke leading to bronchitis, asthma or other health problems.</li>
<li>Better professional image – do you really want to be remembered for your smoky breath and stale smell on your body from smoking cigarettes. You are brighter when you are smoke free.</li>
<li>Sense of achievement – you have been controlled by cigarettes for so long. Now your desire to be happy, healthy and smoke free is driving you to take back control of you.</li>
<li>Set a good image – maybe you have a baby or grandchild and you wish to set a good example to children. Or perhaps you have been promoted and your desire to be smoke free is two fold – better image at work and encouraging those under you to be become smoke free.</li>
<li>More money – think what you could do with the money you can save by not spending it on cigarettes. It is like a tax free pay rise for you.</li>
</ol>
<h2>Am I Ready to be Smoke free?</h2>
<p>Ask yourself the following questions, take your time and answer them honestly.</p>
<ul>
<li>What will being smoke free do for you?</li>
<li>What have you been getting out of smoking until now?</li>
<li>Can you list at least 3 reasons for becoming smoke free?</li>
<li>When do you want to be smoke free?</li>
<li>Is there any context in which you don’t want to be smoke free?</li>
<li>What stops you from making the change?</li>
<li>Is there anything you could lose as a result of being smoke free?</li>
<li>What will you gain by being smoke free.</li>
<li>What do you need to do in order to become smoke free?</li>
<li>Is what you want worth wanting?</li>
<li>What could go wrong?</li>
<li>Can anything stop you?</li>
<li>Are you ready to be smoke free?</li>
</ul>
<p>Write your answers down to make sure you have really thought about becoming smoke free.</p>
<h2>Check-list</h2>
<p>You need to make sure that you are 100% ready to be smoke free. The reason why you have not become smoke free in the past was probably due to the fact that part of you (at a subconscious level) wanted to continue smoking. See Am I Ready to be Smoke free?.</p>
<p><strong>You must ensure that:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You are not undergoing any major life stresses at present;</li>
<li>You can devote 30 minutes a day to listen to your session for the next three weeks;</li>
<li>You are prepared to follow the Tips for Staying Smoke free.</li>

<p>If you are a recovering alcoholic or drug addict you must ensure that you have a support system in place. You have worked hard to overcome your previous addiction so you do not want to revert</p>
<p>to it. Support is extremely important.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If it is that easy to stop smoking with hypnosis/<strong>NLP </strong>why do so many people continue <a href="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/stub-out-cig.gif"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-787" title="stub out cig" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/stub-out-cig.gif" alt="" width="157" height="173" /></a>to smoke?</p>
<p>In my experience I have found that for most people the answer comes down to one thing&#8230;<strong>FEAR!</strong></p>
<p><strong>FEAR</strong> that you’ll never be able to continue your life as a non smoker and be completely free of nicotine;<br />
<strong>FEAR </strong>that you’ll put on weight or start biting your fingernails;<br />
<strong>FEAR </strong>that you’ll have to give up the pleasurable crutch that your smoking habit seems to give you;<br />
<strong>FEAR </strong>that in order to become smoke free you have to through some kind of terrible trauma or painful feelings;<br />
<strong>FEAR </strong>that when you become smoke free you are unable to enjoy life or handle stress;<br />
<strong>FEAR </strong>of failure in your attempts to become smoke free.</p>
<p>All of these examples of <strong>FEAR </strong>are simply potential symptoms of the one simple reason that until now you have not been able to stop smoking and this in itself is another <strong>FEAR</strong></p>
<p>The fear that it will prove too difficult and far too painful when you attempt to stop smoking!</p>
<p>Hypnosis or <strong>NLP</strong>, or anything else, cannot magically remove your need or desire to smoke. But it helps control your cravings, your urge to smoke. With the techniques you learn during our stop smoking program you gain tools to help you deal with stressful situations, whether by using a cue, a breathing technique or a mantra, without falling back to smoking.</p>
<p>Fear is the reason why most people are happy and content to stay in the their comfort zone even though they complain about what goes on around them. As the saying goes: &#8220;better the Devil you know&#8221;. There is a comfort about complaining. Do you know someone who drains you by constantly complaining? You ask &#8220;how are you&#8221; and you actually get to hear all about their woes and pains when in fact you just want a pleasantry back.</p>
<p>What is <strong>F.E.A.R.</strong> and why am I writing it like that. Well, let’s look at the letters:</p>
<p><strong>F</strong> is <strong>F</strong>alse</p>
<p><strong>E</strong> is <strong>E</strong>xpectation</p>
<p><strong>A</strong> is <strong>A</strong>ppearing</p>
<p><strong>R</strong> is <strong>R</strong>eal</p>
<p><strong>Fear </strong>= <strong>F</strong>alse <strong>E</strong>xpectations <strong>A</strong>ppearing <strong>R</strong>eal</p>
<p>Now say it again and again.</p>
<p>Now think of situations that made you fearful, but you did it anyway and then when it was over, you wondered why it had bothered you so much.</p>
<p>So don&#8217;t let your False Expectations Appearing Real hold you back. Take control of your life and quit smoking now.</p>
<h2>Tips for Staying Smoke Free</h2>
<ul>
<li>Get rid of all cigarettes and ashtrays before your stop smoking session or as soon as you possibly can after the session.</li>
<li>Drink plenty of water.</li>
<li>Enjoy some gentle exercise.</li>
<li>Focus on the benefits of being smoke free – health/finances/self esteem.</li>
<li>Change your routine – if you always smoked at break do something else.</li>
<li>Avoid smokers at least for the first 3 weeks.</li>
<li>Avoid nicotine patches, gum etc. – you could become addicted to these instead!</li>
<li>Find something else to do with your hands.</li>
<li>Choose to become smoke free when you are unlikely to become stressed.</li>
<li>Brush your teeth if you need to distract yourself.</li>
<li>Reward yourself for being smoke free for a week, two weeks etc. Motivation helps.</li>
<li>Remember the reasons why you became smoke free.</li>
<li>Remaining smoke free will not be easy but it will get easier each day that passes.</li>
<li>Have a &#8220;sponsor&#8221; in place for times of need. The best person may be someone who used to smoke. They know what you are going through.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/seething-anger.png"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-895" title="seething anger" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/seething-anger-150x150.png" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>If you want a reliable way to manage and control your anger with a goal of not being bothered by minor things use hypnosis and NLP.  In time, anger is no longer an issue for you.  In just your first session, I am helping you to understand how you can control what is going on inside you.  We look at the various triggers for your anger and objectively seek ways to have these less bothersome for you, a re-frame in other words.  As you know, when you start to think angry thoughts, your body goes into a spasm almost, it needs to find a way to release this pent up anger.  With hypnosis, it is a relaxation and a relaxation that involves both your mind and body.  When you move from an awake state (Beta) to a light trance, daydream (Alpha), this is the state that allows you to make major changes as long as you are focused on what you want to achieve.  In the Alpha state, we can use NLP (neuro linguistic programming) to re-adjust and reprogramme your response so that you can get a glimpse into the future of how much better life can be for you.  A deeper state known as Theta is when you go into a light sleep and in this state, I am talking and giving the suggestions that you want so that they have a firm root in your subconscious mind.  You also receive a CD to play in between sessions (and this is a session within itself).  Overall a wonderful feeling of well being is achieved and as your confidence and faith in yourself build, you see dramatic changes in your life.  You will find that when you reflect on your week post session, that there may have been incidences where you would previously have been very annoyed and angry and now, they just don&#8217;t bother you.  Wouldn&#8217;t that be a great accomplishment in one week between two sessions with me?  If you want to take back control of your emotions, then call me on 086 1038892.  Office:  Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 2.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The benefit of visiting me as a female hypnotherapist is achieving a level of relaxation that is necessary to achieve a good depth of hypnosis to cultivate and create change.  For a female client, visiting me as a female hypnotherapist is akin to talking to friends, the comfort level of sharing and being listened to with the emphasis on making you achieve what you want to achieve.  Many male clients feel more comfortable with me as a female hypnotherapist as men are automatically subconsciously in competition with each other.  I am relaxed, non judgmental and really am a mascot for you as you seek to make changes.  As is usual, some clients would prefer a more authoritive therapist but really it is about making you feel confident in yourself.  My job is not to tell you what to do but it is my job to ensure that you realise all the resources you have inside you and how to access them easily.  I can only speak for myself and my experiences of what I have to offer you &#8211; a calm, relaxed environment where you can vocalise what you want for yourself without censoring yourself.  I can help you achieve that.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-801" title="blushing" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/blushing-150x150.gif" alt="blushing" width="150" height="150" />Blushing &#8211; a visible sign to the world of your discomfort and unease.  Blushing is not physiological &#8211; it cannot be reproduced by the body only your mind and your thoughts can bring on blushing and all the extras &#8211; the clamminess, racing heart, being tongue-tied.  Children under the age of 7 and animals do not blush.  At the age of 7, we begin to know right from wrong, what is expected of us socially and if we feel singled out, then we blush because we feel (a) have something to hide or (b) nothing to hide but concerned that others will think we have something to hide or (c) others will know we are stupid, silly, foolish.  Think about it for a moment, how many times were you told as a child to stop doing something because &#8220;people are looking&#8221; &#8211; the subconscious mind encodes this as meaning being the focus of attention is bad and negative &#8211; you have done something wrong to make people look at you!  While your body and conscious mind is now mature, unfortunately, your subconscious mind is, in essence, a 6 year old child &#8211; everything is black or white &#8211; no grey areas so you must change the signal/trigger ( i.e. when people look at you) that you are relaxed and calm but this has to be given to the subconscious mind, you can&#8217;t just think about it consciously.  The conscious mind cannot help.  The control is in your subconscious mind and the only way to get over blushing and to stop blushing is to access the subconscious and reprogramme being the focus of attention = face being pale.  Your mind does not know the difference between what is real or imagined and we use this to your benefit (remember you have been doing this in the negative for years, by anticipating blushing) and we do the reverse.  Like everything else in life, practice, practice, practice at being free blushing and the calmness that goes with this gets stronger in your mind.  Between sessions, I am helping you to reduce the number of blushing times and a reduction in the blush&#8217;s duration so you can feel the power, feel what it is like to be finally in control and show yourself off in the way you need to be to be treated with respect.  Confident people do no blush.  Hypnosis is helping to build your confidence in yourself and become less self conscious.  When you are less self conscious, you have no reason to be blush.  Ring me on 086 1038892 to make an appointment and make 2010 the year you will be who you truly want to be, free from blushing and confident.</p>
