Stop Biting Nails

Nail biting serves a purpose.  Working as a hypnotherapist reasons for nail biting have included thinking time and being uncomfortable among others.  For most clients who come to see me what they do not see is that nail biting is a form of self harm – you are biting, chewing a part of your body!  Feelings of shame and guilt are not uncommon especially in women who go to great lengths to disguise their nail biting habit with false nails.  With hypnosis and hypnotherapy it is possible to stop nail biting.  The number of sessions required varies from client to client.  I’ve had clients who have stopped nail biting after just one session.  Others in about 2 or 3 sessions.  This is the beauty of the hypnosis.  Your mind is adaptable.  If you change the way you feel, you change the need for the habit.  Hypnosis has a settling, peaceful and calm effect on everyone.  Like the stop smokers, those who nail bite are concerned about what if they bite their nails again, buy various lotions and potions to put on fingertips and just envisage the difficulty.  With hypnosis and hypnotherapy, we are looking at the gains.  What it would mean to you to have nice nails.  Nail biting is associated with looking and feeling nervous.  Reducing the nervousness reduces the need for the hand to go to the mouth.   To successfully overcome the habit of nail biting visit me in Dublin (Dawson Street), Limerick City or Portlaoise.
