Want to give up smoking without the pain? Does your usual stop smoking routine consist of the following?
- the irritability?
- how will you cope?
- what will you do with your hands and
- you may have other thoughts?
- All of these are fears – apprehensions about what might happen.
Of course, if this is what you what you anticipate and indeed, this may have been your experience with stopping smoking then these frustrations become the reality when you stop smoking by yourself.
Why is that? The simplest explanation is that it happens because you thought it. By visualising the hardship and difficulty stopping cigarette smoking, you set in train the course of irritability and inability to cope with stressful situations.
But what if there was another way? What if you could finish with the habit of smoking and learning a new way that allows you to feel more calm and relaxed. Actually the reverse of your past attempts but this time with the agreement of the part of you in control of your habits and behaviours i.e. the subconscious mind.
Hypnosis and NLP can’t make you stop smoking unless you want to. If you are ready to quit smoking, then hypnosis will make it easier as in this relaxed state we look at where the smoker part of you lives, and how we can get it to change its desire for smoking to increase, for examples, your confidence, your desire for better health, your sense of achievement.
In your session with me, we look at what you believe life will be like being smokefree – deal with the fears and how you can make adjustments to feel great about your decision. The emphasis is that you can stop smoking as long as you want to stop smoking. The desire to give up smoking must be stronger than the need to continue the habit.
