			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you seen someone and thought “I wish I had their confidence”?  If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be confident then you can learn ways to be a confident version of yourself.  It is not about being someone obnoxious.  It is about an improved version of yourself that is calmly confident.  It is about you being able to feel at ease within yourself whether your boss is speaking to you or whether you have to give a presentation.  When you feel anxious and lacking self assurance you may feel this distress within you, your stomach may be churning, your mind goes blank, you may feel that you are sweating excessively.  These physiological symptoms can be interrupted.  With the power of your own mind you can stop and reverse the feeling and you know, when one step is interrupted, the sequence is broken and therefore no longer happens. </p>
<p>The “what if” sensation can be replaced with a more positive mantra.  What if it does happen, you can handle it.  Once you take away the fear, you have control.  You do the negative thinking so well, think about how great you would be at thinking positively and hypnosis and NLP can give you the skills that you need to do this.  What could you achieve professionally if you were the confident, at ease self you would wish to be with the conscientious part of you in proportion to the task at hand.  If it not about eradicating your cautious side but to get it to act appropriately.   When you feel confident, what goes on inside your body, inside your mind?  It is this focus within yourself with hypnosis and NLP that will make lasting change.  You are learning to think about what you want for yourself rather than what you don’t want.  With any change, it is important to have a signal to yourself that this has happened.  How would you know that you were becoming confident?   These are the areas that are addressed in a hypnosis and nlp session.  We cannot change the past but we can change the emotional connection.  If the record inside your head is telling you that you will amount to nothing – change it, if the voice is loud and screaming – tell to shut up.  We all have an internal representation of what is going on whether it is a feeling, a noise, a pain that stops you being confident.  We can change what is going on inside you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There must be nothing more daunting for a sufferer of social anxiety than to talk one to one with someone in a counselling type situation.  The very thing you fear is being played out, being the focus of someone else&#8217;s attention.  The beauty of hypnosis is that your eyes are closed for most of the session with your focus being directed inward.  In the relaxed state of hypnosis, you can learn to separate emotion from past events which were are still running inside your mind, making you feel bad, making you feel empty and lonely.  Perhaps you fear you are losing your mind, that something is &#8220;wrong&#8221; with you.  In my experience, hypnotherapy gives you the opportunity to learn to like yourself and to love yourself.  To stop being the victim and to lose the feeling &#8220;of course I&#8217;m wrong&#8221;.  If you are constantly running yourself down, does this make for a happy person &#8211; the answer is no.  But you can be a survivor, you can come out the other.  You can learn to re-engage (or to engage for the first time) in life.  To stop looking in from the outside.  Think for a moment of what you want for yourself &#8211; all the things you want  (and not what you don&#8217;t want).  If you have reached the threshold of suffering and want to feel, see and think differently about your place in the world, you can do this.  You may have great insight into your problem and great logic but these are conscious thoughts and conscious thoughts are fleeting.  Your responses are stored in your subconscious mind (your automatic habit of feeling down) and you can change this as long as the subconscious mind feels these new changes are for your benefit.  Which means you have to justify the new behaviours to yourself.  This internal dialogue runs constantly but by accessing it with hypnosis (the key to the subconscious mind), you now know where your positive self lives and allow it to speak up. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1529" title="standing on chair afraid" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/standing-on-chair-afraid.gif" alt="" width="61" height="116" />How does hypnosis help to you relieve the anxiety of stammering?  For adults and children alike, stammering can have detrimental effects on self esteem and confidence.  Problems will be with certain letters and try as you might to avoid them, you will at some time have to use the words.  Avoidence is not a solution and will actually add to the anxiety when you do have finally use the word.  Hypnosis can help to get rid of the fear associated with speaking in front of others.</p>
<p>Hypnosis works by concentrating on the problem letters and find a solution.  Did you know that sufferers do not stammer while in hypnosis?  It is because they are in a relaxed state.  Anxiety and panic and &#8220;seeing&#8221; the difficulty with the word make life difficult.  Blushing will become part of the panic.  So, now you are dealing with the stammering, panic and blushing!</p>
<p>The most wonderful &#8220;side effect&#8221; of hypnosis is the relaxation element.  The subconscious mind is being programmed to be in a relaxed and calm state while using the problem letters.  What I like to do with clients is to make a sentence with the words beginning with the problem letters (if it is the start of words that causes the problem).  The client repeats the statement over and over easily and gently &#8211; the purpose is a confidence boost from saying the words with problem letters and most importantly a signal to the subconscious mind &#8211; being relaxed with the letters.  Efforts are made a word pacing &#8211; the desire to &#8220;get the words over with&#8221; may trigger you to talk very fast.  Whether excited or anxious, the focus is on speaking clearly and easily with a confident delivery.</p>
