Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy - How to overcome unwanted habits
With the past it is not the event itself that triggers the unwanted response/habit, it is the meaning we attribute to the event that gives it significance. for example, when I think of my grandmother, I’m immediately transported to the smell of freshly baked bread and I’m in her kitchen, remembering the love and warmth of it - not the actual technique of making the bread! When you can see the difference, that’s when we get change happening.
I’ll leave with a quote that you may have heard before:
“if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got”.
