Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
Anger management is more than just learning how to manage and control anger, it is about understanding why and how you feel this rage.
There is nothing wrong with feeling angry.
You know how you suffer after you have been angry. The guilt, regret, remorse – all compounding the feeling that you are being taken over by something bigger than yourself. However, anger is a secondary emotion and that thing that causes our anger to explode is rarely the true object of our rage. When we feel threatened in any way, emotionally, physically, intellectually, we adapt to the primal state of attack being the best form of defense.
I provide one to one anger management therapy in Limerick City and Dublin City using NLP and hypnosis.
NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and hypnosis are useful tools to help you to control the anger immediately and develop more assertive ways of dealing with, for example, people you find difficult and feel threatened by. Remember your anger state is not a positive even if you are defending yourself. It is telling you that something is amiss.

I fit the programme to your needs. I know what it is like to feel that burning sensation inside, to feel “taken over” and the need to throw, hit or break something but these feelings were signals that part of me was feeling violated and my reaction was attack was the best form of defense. I learned to feel more at ease inside and you can to. It does not mean you will never feel angry again, of course you will, but the difference is that you can let it go. The ability to let go means that you are no longer controlled by the whims of others.
