			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1383" title="blushing girl" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/blushing-girl-150x150.gif" alt="" width="150" height="150" />You feel the colour in your face changing and the heat building, your initial response is probably along the lines of &#8220;stop blushing&#8221; or &#8220;don&#8217;t blush now&#8221;.  The more you try to quenc the heat and colour of the blush &#8211; the stronger and more intense it becomes.  Your voice weakens, you may even lose it, your throat is dry, hands wet and clammy.  How can you stop it?</p>
<p>Hypnosis will and can help you but before I explain how it is important to understand how your subconscious mind operates.</p>
<p>The subconscious mind does not recognise negative words like &#8220;stop&#8221; or &#8220;not&#8221; or &#8220;don&#8217;t&#8221;.  So let&#8217;s take the above sentence you might say to yourself &#8220;stop blushing&#8221; &#8211; what the subconscious mind hears is &#8220;blushing&#8221;.  So it goes through it&#8217;s inner dictionary (just a computer, it has programmes and files within it &#8211; but more on this another day).</p>
<p>In the dictionary it finds &#8220;blushing = red face, throat dry, hands clammy, nervousness in stomach (and whatever else you feel&#8221;.  Hey presto, your subconscious mind gives you what you asked!</p>
<p>So you need to re-programme, delete and make a new file: &#8220;my face is pale and cool, my hands are dry &#8230;. the opposite of the previous symptoms.  It does take practice and like any new skill, the more you practice the better you get.  You can apply this to any situation that previously made you feel uncomfortable.</p>
<p>Have I done myself out of work?!</p>
<p>Hypnosis can help you practice these techniques.  No matter how logical we are about things, it doesn&#8217;t really seem to make much of a difference so we need to access the subconscious mind and this happens with hypnosis.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is a concentrated relaxation (we are concentrating on the face being cool and pale) &#8211; (did you notice my phrasing).  Using various aids including visualisation techniques you can overcome the blushing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever noticed that your mood affects how you view things?  If you are feeling happy then everything has a positive slant, you can even see something positive from something negative.  If, however, you are in a low mood (not depressed) but not feeling on top of things, then the universe seems to put more and more obstacles in your way.  Thoughts like &#8220;typical, it always happens to me&#8221;, &#8220;serves me right for doing I was doing something right&#8221; will not improve your mood or lift your spirits.  Hypnotherapy helps you become aware of the power of your thoughts and your self thoughts.  If you don&#8217;t feel good about yourself, that comes across in your tone of voice, how you hold yourself.  For others, you can put on &#8220;a front&#8221;, the energy expended not being true to yourself is unreal and they end up feeling worn out and burnt physically and mentally.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You know that you can have insight and be logical about your problem but it doesn&#8217;t seem to make any difference to the blushing, anxiety, stress with attempts to stop smoking, lose weight etc.  Why?  Because we reason with the logical part of the mind and the hurt that prompted the problem in the first place is in your subconscious mind!  The only way to access your subconscious mind is with the use of hypnosis.  Hypnosis is a deep relaxation where you are fully aware but are just so relaxed you keep you eyes closed.  When in this relaxed state, the conscious mind drifts and you are fully aware but just more interested in what is going on inside you.  This can help you to overcome your problem &#8211; we find the cause and make it lose its effect!  For suggestion therapy, for stop smoking, wart removal or any of the more habit problems, when you are relaxed, suggestions are offered to the subconscious about new ways of looking at what used to be a problem for you.</p>
<p>Only your subconscious mind knows what caused the problem in the first place and only your subconscious mind can make the change.  But it is not a magic pill or cure.  It is about empowering you.  Internal acceptance and validation help you to become the person you really want to be.  There is no dependant relationship with me.  Solution focused therapy is the method I use so that you are in therapy for the shortest time possible maximum 12 weeks.  That is because we start with your goal and work towards it whether it is to feel relaxed in social situations, relaxed being a non smoker, more confident and assertive &#8211; with hypnosis you can your own magic happen and it is a tool for life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whatever change you want to make, you need some form of motivation or otherwise you would not change.  Make change is never easy whether it is to stop smoking, lose weight, get focused on the job you want, motivation to set up your own business, gain confidence you will need some help.  Hypnosis is such a focused tool at your disposal to give you laser focus on what you want.  Hypnosis helps to concentrate your mind on that one change.  Remember, you can only work on one change at a time (that&#8217;s why New Year Resolutions fail &#8211; we try too many changes and achieve nothing). The theory is to make change permanent it takes 21 days for it to be fully absorbed by the subconscious mind.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What plans do you have?  Do you imagine a life different to what you have now?  Do you follow through on  your plans?  Perhaps you never make plans, just drifting one day to the next, fed up that you don&#8217;t have all you want.</p>
<p>Planners:  When you make plans, it is important to write them.  Divide up all the areas of your life and make a list of what you would like to achieve.  Then go through the items on your list and write down what steps you need to take to get your goals &#8211; do you need advice, further education, a business plan, or just time.  Now time your goals for achievement and within that set a time table for each step.  Remember a goal should be just out of reach, not out of sight.</p>
<p>As you work through your goals, give yourself a treat with each step achieved &#8211; it&#8217;s an added incentive but don&#8217;t make it about food or alcohol.  Each step you take towards your goals will make you feel fantastic, the sense of empowerment is unbelieveable because you are making your goal in to reality.</p>
<p>Drifters:  Perhaps some of you don&#8217;t plan.  Things just happen and you go with the flow sometimes good and sometimes bad.  What makes you fearful of making plans?  Perhaps it&#8217;s a fear that you won&#8217;t be disappointed if you don&#8217;t achieve your goal.  If you are happy like this, good for you but if not, take some time to understand why you don&#8217;t set goals.</p>
<p>Hypnosis can help turn your hopes and dreams into reality by giving you focus and clarity of mind so that yes you do believe you can achieve your goals.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At the basics of hypnosis and hypnotherapy is to take what works for you and make it better so that the positive outweighs the negative, your thinking process is engaged towards solutions rather than possible problems, you are practical with regard to worrying, you manage stress adequately, concentrate on a pale face so you stop blushing, you act confidence physically and the internal confidence builds inside you.  What happens, one day comes and you haven&#8217;t had to think about the steps necessary to stop blushing, stop smoking etc.  Your mind automaticallly (and that is your subconscious mind) goes to positive thoughts.  We all have something that works for us deep down inside.  We have forgotten it.  You have over the years trained your mind to automatically think the worst and this causes anxiety.  Why does it cause anxiety?  Because it is not really who you are.  We should always strive to be better, to push ourselves out of the comfort zone, to see opportunity.  Take what you have that works at any level and build on that so that it thrives with good thoughts, perhaps training or practicing whatever it takes to get it better.</p>
