			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What do you feel guilty about?  Guilt can be used as a reminder not to do something you consider very bad again.  Guilt can be about not feeling guilty even though you know you should.  Guilt can be complex.  It could be &#8220;I should have said/done this&#8221;.  But if you find that guilt is holding you back or preventing you in some way from being happy, let hypnotherapy release the guilt.  It is not about never feeling guilty &#8211; we need it to keep social order &#8211; but carrying guilt for 20 years is not healthy.  Using guilt to self flagellate is not healthy.  Letting go of guilt can free your mind.  If your guilt serves some useful purpose, this can be kept but in a more useful, more appropriate way for you.  All guilt does is grind you down.  If you want to let go of guilt, email <a href="mailto:zita@zitastanley.com">zita@zitastanley.com</a> or tel 086 1038892.  Appointments in Baggot Street, Dublin 2 only.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>During an session with me, one of the checks that must be done is what is called an &#8220;ecological check&#8221;.  You want to change some habit whether it is stop smoking, stop over-eating, lose weight, stop biting nails, overcome fear etc.  But are the people in your life ready for you to change.  Have you noticed that if lose weight some friends will feel threatened by it to the point of telling you that you look ill or &#8220;encourage&#8221; you to have more cake.  Or for the smoker, trying to tempt you with cigarettes by blowing smoke in your face or leaving you out of conversations.  This is something you need to think about and how you feel now that your position within your group changes.  Although not everyone will welcome the change, others will delight in your success.  You need to ensure that you are strong enough to deal with the &#8220;downside&#8221; of your positive change.  This is peer pressure even in your 30s and 40s.  You have dared to be different, to stand up and make a change. </p>
<p>Be strong and brave.  There&#8217;s a new world out there for a new you.  Awareness that not everyone will be delighted with the change will give you strength.  You will be tested but you will be strong and delight in your resolve to continue and maintain your change. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You know that you can have insight and be logical about your problem but it doesn&#8217;t seem to make any difference to the blushing, anxiety, stress with attempts to stop smoking, lose weight etc.  Why?  Because we reason with the logical part of the mind and the hurt that prompted the problem in the first place is in your subconscious mind!  The only way to access your subconscious mind is with the use of hypnosis.  Hypnosis is a deep relaxation where you are fully aware but are just so relaxed you keep you eyes closed.  When in this relaxed state, the conscious mind drifts and you are fully aware but just more interested in what is going on inside you.  This can help you to overcome your problem &#8211; we find the cause and make it lose its effect!  For suggestion therapy, for stop smoking, wart removal or any of the more habit problems, when you are relaxed, suggestions are offered to the subconscious about new ways of looking at what used to be a problem for you.</p>
<p>Only your subconscious mind knows what caused the problem in the first place and only your subconscious mind can make the change.  But it is not a magic pill or cure.  It is about empowering you.  Internal acceptance and validation help you to become the person you really want to be.  There is no dependant relationship with me.  Solution focused therapy is the method I use so that you are in therapy for the shortest time possible maximum 12 weeks.  That is because we start with your goal and work towards it whether it is to feel relaxed in social situations, relaxed being a non smoker, more confident and assertive &#8211; with hypnosis you can your own magic happen and it is a tool for life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whatever change you want to make, you need some form of motivation or otherwise you would not change.  Make change is never easy whether it is to stop smoking, lose weight, get focused on the job you want, motivation to set up your own business, gain confidence you will need some help.  Hypnosis is such a focused tool at your disposal to give you laser focus on what you want.  Hypnosis helps to concentrate your mind on that one change.  Remember, you can only work on one change at a time (that&#8217;s why New Year Resolutions fail &#8211; we try too many changes and achieve nothing). Then list the goals or aspirations you have in each category.  Now the most important is to timeline them so you see at a glance what the most pressing issue is for you.  Hypnosis is great to help clarify our thoughts and organize the areas in your life.</p>
<p>Then set out the tasks you need to take to make each goal a reality &#8211; do you have to connect with someone, do you have do a course, do you have _________?  Again set out a to-do list with these.  Remember the day is not over until you can tick off everything on your life.  Life being life, no doubt you may be thrown a curve ball but re-arrange the timeline &#8211; it&#8217;s not set in stone but don&#8217;t let things slide because of laziness.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Any self help that uses hypnosis is going to be more successful.  Why?  Because you must tackle the underlying issues and they are usually anxiety based or a fear that stops you from being the best you can be.  Hypnotherapy is therapy using hypnosis to help you make changes a change at a subconscious level.  This is where the problem started and as one could, you must &#8220;return to the scene of crime&#8221;.  This return is to help you let go, release unresolved upset, even guilt.  Then you rebuild and look forward knowing that the past no longer has a hold over you.  All hypnosis is self hypnosis and as such you are learning a valuable self help tool to aid you in making other changes in your life.  Some might say that &#8220;self help&#8221; is an oxymoron if you are actually seeing a therapist, reading books, going on self improvement courses.  Any help that helps your inner self is of benefit but as long as you gaining benefit.  We can be logical about the way the negative way we behave and have what psychiatrists term &#8220;insight&#8221; i.e. a good understanding but this does not solve the problem or deal with the symptoms you fee.  Why not?  Because the hurt to the inner self did not happen on a logical basis &#8211; if it did we would not have any problems.</p>
<p>Self help is about healing, letting go of negativity, release guilt.  What is the underlying symptom you feel?  This can take a little while to untangle as over the years you have added to it.  With hypnotherapy we must have a focus &#8211; a solution to work towards.  One change at a time is necessary and important because the subconscious mind can only deal with one change at a time.  Take the time to explore hypnosis to see how it can help with your self help actions.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Perhaps you really don’t know – it’s too big a question that your mind really can’t take it on board.<span> </span>Give it time.<span> </span>Mull it over.<span> </span>Write a list and like Santa check it twice and then again.<span> </span>Re-arrange and re-edit.<span> </span>Then when you think that is it – how can you achieve it?<span> </span>What steps need to be taken?<span> </span>Break it into categories, time line them.<span> </span>Remember it is this or something better.<span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Remember when you were a child – what did you want to be?<span> </span>I bet there were no boundaries, no limits.<span> </span>The world was your oyster.<span> </span>I wanted to be a showjumper, the fact that I couldn’t ride never entered my mind!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">When did it change?<span> </span>When did you <span style="text-decoration: underline;">learn</span> to short-change yourself? What is learned can be unlearned  using hypnosis to re-programme your mind.  People change and wants change.<span> </span>But as adults we limit ourselves, we set up imaginary boundaries.<span> </span>Some of it has to do with circumstance, with our self talk, perhaps getting too many knocks in a row that you can’t raise your head to look up.<span> </span>If you walk around with your head down, how are you ever going to move upwards mentally and physically?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">A small question in terms of words but the answer may not be easy to give.<span> </span>The answer may help to clarify why you are unhappy now – because you are not living to your full potential.<span> </span>We get one life and no matter how long you live death is forever.<span> </span>Isn’t it worth taking a few minutes each day to think about what you really want?<span> </span>This exercise is not about making yourself miserable because you can’t achieve whatever the dream is – it is about making changes within yourself with regard to your attention and behaviour to make positive changes.<span> </span>It is about being responsible but taking steps to ensure that this the life you really want to live.</span></p>
