			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1529" title="standing on chair afraid" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/standing-on-chair-afraid.gif" alt="" width="61" height="116" />How does hypnosis help to you relieve the anxiety of stammering?  For adults and children alike, stammering can have detrimental effects on self esteem and confidence.  Problems will be with certain letters and try as you might to avoid them, you will at some time have to use the words.  Avoidence is not a solution and will actually add to the anxiety when you do have finally use the word.  Hypnosis can help to get rid of the fear associated with speaking in front of others.</p>
<p>Hypnosis works by concentrating on the problem letters and find a solution.  Did you know that sufferers do not stammer while in hypnosis?  It is because they are in a relaxed state.  Anxiety and panic and &#8220;seeing&#8221; the difficulty with the word make life difficult.  Blushing will become part of the panic.  So, now you are dealing with the stammering, panic and blushing!</p>
<p>The most wonderful &#8220;side effect&#8221; of hypnosis is the relaxation element.  The subconscious mind is being programmed to be in a relaxed and calm state while using the problem letters.  What I like to do with clients is to make a sentence with the words beginning with the problem letters (if it is the start of words that causes the problem).  The client repeats the statement over and over easily and gently &#8211; the purpose is a confidence boost from saying the words with problem letters and most importantly a signal to the subconscious mind &#8211; being relaxed with the letters.  Efforts are made a word pacing &#8211; the desire to &#8220;get the words over with&#8221; may trigger you to talk very fast.  Whether excited or anxious, the focus is on speaking clearly and easily with a confident delivery.</p>

<p><a href="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/man-under-pressure.gif"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-891" title="man under pressure" src="http://zitastanley.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/man-under-pressure-150x150.gif" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>When you start to feel yourself going down, do you notice a change in your body &#8211; do you bend your head forwards, or do you feel a pressure from the top of your head as if you are physically being ground into the ground?  What you experience physically is a manifestation of what is going on inside your mind?  How many times have you thought to yourself &#8220;I can&#8217;t deal with this weight (=pressure) any more&#8221;?  Do you find the world to be darker because your mind is so busy, too many thoughts to really know what is going on, just too much noise in your head?  That is where hypnosis comes in. </p>
<p>What if there was a way, a very rapid way, to help you to turn down and even off the noise inside your head &#8211; what would that mean to you?  What if there was a way to just adjust the way you hold yourself and you feel better?  Think of the wonderful gift that would be for yourself and for your loved ones.  Remember you do not suffer alone and your partner, your parent, your children suffer too.  But sometimes with stress and depression, you can become very insular, it&#8217;s &#8220;you against the world&#8221; and it can be hard to see your allies.  Hypnosis will give you the sleep you desire, the relaxation to the mind and body that you have never known before and it is coming from inside you. </p>

<p>Over time as the depression takes hold, you are unable to experience or feel any emotion other than the &#8220;down&#8221; of depression and everything looks very black.  With hypnotherapy I can help you to access your subconscious mind so that you uncover the reason for your depression &#8211; if it is repressed anger, you can learn how to express yourself assertively or perhaps you are afraid of feeling your feelings for another reason.  Maybe you suffered a loss and have become &#8220;stuck&#8221; in the depressed phase of the grieving process. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>During an session with me, one of the checks that must be done is what is called an &#8220;ecological check&#8221;.  You want to change some habit whether it is stop smoking, stop over-eating, lose weight, stop biting nails, overcome fear etc.  But are the people in your life ready for you to change.  Have you noticed that if lose weight some friends will feel threatened by it to the point of telling you that you look ill or &#8220;encourage&#8221; you to have more cake.  Or for the smoker, trying to tempt you with cigarettes by blowing smoke in your face or leaving you out of conversations.  This is something you need to think about and how you feel now that your position within your group changes.  Although not everyone will welcome the change, others will delight in your success.  You need to ensure that you are strong enough to deal with the &#8220;downside&#8221; of your positive change.  This is peer pressure even in your 30s and 40s.  You have dared to be different, to stand up and make a change. </p>
<p>Be strong and brave.  There&#8217;s a new world out there for a new you.  Awareness that not everyone will be delighted with the change will give you strength.  You will be tested but you will be strong and delight in your resolve to continue and maintain your change. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever noticed that your mood affects how you view things?  If you are feeling happy then everything has a positive slant, you can even see something positive from something negative.  If, however, you are in a low mood (not depressed) but not feeling on top of things, then the universe seems to put more and more obstacles in your way.  Thoughts like &#8220;typical, it always happens to me&#8221;, &#8220;serves me right for doing I was doing something right&#8221; will not improve your mood or lift your spirits.  Hypnotherapy helps you become aware of the power of your thoughts and your self thoughts.  If you don&#8217;t feel good about yourself, that comes across in your tone of voice, how you hold yourself.  For others, you can put on &#8220;a front&#8221;, the energy expended not being true to yourself is unreal and they end up feeling worn out and burnt physically and mentally.</p>

<p>Remember if you are pessimistic about the future, then negativity is all that you will see but if you feel, see joy in the future then that is what is in store for you.  It&#8217;s like the saying:  if you think you or you think you can&#8217;t, you&#8217;re right.  Life is a self fulfilling prophesy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You know that you can have insight and be logical about your problem but it doesn&#8217;t seem to make any difference to the blushing, anxiety, stress with attempts to stop smoking, lose weight etc.  Why?  Because we reason with the logical part of the mind and the hurt that prompted the problem in the first place is in your subconscious mind!  The only way to access your subconscious mind is with the use of hypnosis.  Hypnosis is a deep relaxation where you are fully aware but are just so relaxed you keep you eyes closed.  When in this relaxed state, the conscious mind drifts and you are fully aware but just more interested in what is going on inside you.  This can help you to overcome your problem &#8211; we find the cause and make it lose its effect!  For suggestion therapy, for stop smoking, wart removal or any of the more habit problems, when you are relaxed, suggestions are offered to the subconscious about new ways of looking at what used to be a problem for you.</p>
<p>Only your subconscious mind knows what caused the problem in the first place and only your subconscious mind can make the change.  But it is not a magic pill or cure.  It is about empowering you.  Internal acceptance and validation help you to become the person you really want to be.  There is no dependant relationship with me.  Solution focused therapy is the method I use so that you are in therapy for the shortest time possible maximum 12 weeks.  That is because we start with your goal and work towards it whether it is to feel relaxed in social situations, relaxed being a non smoker, more confident and assertive &#8211; with hypnosis you can your own magic happen and it is a tool for life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whatever change you want to make, you need some form of motivation or otherwise you would not change.  Make change is never easy whether it is to stop smoking, lose weight, get focused on the job you want, motivation to set up your own business, gain confidence you will need some help.  Hypnosis is such a focused tool at your disposal to give you laser focus on what you want.  Hypnosis helps to concentrate your mind on that one change.  Remember, you can only work on one change at a time (that&#8217;s why New Year Resolutions fail &#8211; we try too many changes and achieve nothing).  Listening to a hypnotic CD/MP3 reminds your subconscious mind that you want to change.  The theory is to make change permanent it takes 21 days for it to be fully absorbed by the subconscious mind.</p>
<p>If you are new to hypnosis and hypnotherapy, what has stopped you in the past from fulfilling your goals, was it the little voice in your head telling you that you &#8220;don&#8217;t deserve it&#8221;,  &#8220;not good enough&#8221;,  &#8220;no time&#8221;,  &#8220;that&#8217;s not for you&#8221; &#8211; you get the drift.  If you feel this is the obstacle because the voice gets so  loud you must obey it then please consider hypnosis where we can access your subconscious and quieten the voice once and for all.</p>
