Can you really stop being angry? Have the phrases “hot-head”, “fiery” been used to describe you. These images are suggestive of the fire that burns inside an angry person. This “fire” is always on and for someone who is reactive, it does not take long for the fire to be stoked.
This anger has a purpose. It is telling you that someone has crossed a line. Anger is the fight of the stress response. Anxiety is the flight. It is an imbalance within the mind and body. Or more succinctly, a disconnect between the mind and body.
We restore the communication between by learning how to let go, physically and emotionally. You may be experiencing pains and discomfort in your body due to the tension of always being on high alert. By releasing the tension, you are letting go.
You can get a sense of the fire within reducing. Where there is heat, we must counter the abrasiveness by bringing coolness.
What happens to anger? With the release of tension, you are gaining control of your mind and body. The anger is just a signal. That is all. You can programme your mind to pay less attention to the people, places and situations that trigger your anger response.
The mind and body are working together. Understanding that you no longer need to be reactive. As if you can step back, assess the situation, and respond appropriately.
This new harmony gives you a better sense of well-being.
- Work becomes more tolerable and home life improves.
- You are no longer carrying all this excess baggage with you. Once the stress response is no longer on high alert, you can become a different person. Others will notice the change.
- Your posture changes and any digestive issues cause by the acid associated with anger are usually alleviated. Balancing anger has a wonderful domino effect in all areas of your life.
No longer will you have to bear the guilt of seeing fear in the faces of your family, afraid that you hit them or break something.
Nor reprimands for your attitude.
Road rage falls by the wayside. You understand that when you feel anger, you can let it go. Your response will be appropriate.
You have a more intuitive connection with your body. As anger affects the liver, starting your day with a glass of warm water with lemon will help to cleanse this organ.
How long does it take to feel in control? The majority of my clients require 2 to 3 sessions. The good feeling begins at the very first session. You leave with a sense of achievement and the subsequent sessions are helping to develop this new, improved you. It can be necessary to let go of past hurts and learning to forgive yourself and others is a big part of the process.
But you cannot have balance if you bear grudges.
What magic is this? Clinical hypnotherapy is a relaxation of the mind and body. It is a state to access the subconscious mind. You are fully aware as your mind moves into its creative state, to build the self you want to become.
NLP (neuro linguistic programming) is developing the self image. Trying it on for size, testing it and adapting for your home and work lives. We look to eliminate the negative self talk and remove words that are not conducive in your life.
