Do you find your whole body language resigned to “well, I just know I’m going to blush” – take a minute and is that the image of a confident, self assured person – I don’t think so. When your mind anticipates a worry or concern, a chain reaction occurs and the subconscious mind moves the body into a position that encourages the unwanted behaviour and your thoughts of “stop blushing” actually inflate the whole blushing and anxiety that you may feel inside. With hypnosis and NLP you are learning to stop and interrupt the pattern so that the blushing cannot continue because of your posture (confident pose) and your thoughts (positive intent). Like any new way of being, this does take time to build and get stronger. So in between the initial appointments, I expect a reduction in the occurence of the blushing and the few times that it does occur, it is only fleeting.
