When you become anxious, the body’s stress system is alerted and the “fight or flight” response occurs, with this all energy is sent to your arms and legs so the heart must beat faster to pump this extra blood around your body. At the same time, your digestive system slows and this will cause your throat to become dry. Sweating occurs to regulate body temperature caused by the adrenaline released through your body. Your mind turns to mush, you cannot concentrate, there is a cloudiness to your mind and your vision may even become distorted. This is very scary.
